This is big news. The much trusted-visited and referred to forums- Webmaster World have been bought by Internet Marketing Ninjas led by Jim Boykin. This was announced by Today at Pubcon, by previous owner of Webmaster World – Brett Tabke and Jim Boykin. Brett said that handing over Webmaster World will give him more time to focus on PubCon series. Jim revealed that he has many plans in place to introduce social and community features in the Forums.

Tabke will be a part of Webmaster World as an administrator and said, “Jim and Internet Marketing Ninjas is the ideal match for WebmasterWorld. I couldn’t have asked for a better situation than a long-time member acquiring WebmasterWorld."

Jim Boykin shared the news of the deal in his blog, " I felt that if the forums could be tied to places like facebook and twitter, and if the WMW social accounts were more utilized, that WMW could be made an even better community. A few days later I got a response from Brett, basically asking me if I’d be interested in talking about possibly buying WMW so Brett could focus his energies on Pubcon and other conference related activities….it wasn’t the response that I was expecting….in fact, it really threw me for a loop.”

Internet Marketing Ninjas also released a formal press announcement regarding the same. The company is expanding rapidly with acquiring the Developer Shed Network, Cre8asiteforums. They have also added to their team leading search professionals. What do you think of this deal? The decade old community of Webmaster World- is all set for a new boost- and get a social face. How it will all turn out- we’ll have to wait and watch.
