Link building remains the keystone of most search engine optimization efforts. Just because you have a website, individuals are not going to link to you. Having a strong link profile is important to your website’s success in search engines. 

In a survey of 612 business owners, we found that 62.7% of business owners understood the importance of link building strategy, but out of the 22.5% were currently using one. 11.2% had link building as part of their digital strategies, and 2.5% of small businesses didn’t even know the meaning of link building. 68% percent of small business owners built tangential content, and 33.3% of owners did all of the content marketing themselves. Around 30% said their budget for this area would increase next year, while 28% reported the same for their overall SEO budget.
