Searchmetrics has released its SEO ranking factors for Microsoft’s search engine, Bing. Like Google ranking factors, Searchmetrics analyzed 10,000 keywords and 300,000 websites appearing in the top 30 search results. After looking at how several factors correlated with ranking, Searchmetrics filtered out top 5 key findings: 1. Like Google, top brands rank on Bing also 2. Backlink numbers are linked closely to higher rankings on Bing 3. Social signals are related to higher rankings 4. Quality of content is important for search rankings 5. On page technical factors should be present. Here’s a graph showing Bing ranking factors on the basis of their importance: Another interesting part of the ranking factors was when the first page of the search results on Bing and Google were compared. It was seen that 24.7% of the listed URLs were same and 37.3% domains were same too. This comparison shows that there is a different between Bing and Google ranking factors.
